Upscale Louisville restaurant to close for renovations
Butchertown Grocery is closing next week to undergo renovations and updates.
The upscale restaurant, at 1076 E. Washington St., will be closed from Jan. 2 to Jan. 10.
“I want to keep the place fresh and exciting,” said Chef Bobby Benjamin.
Linda Schuster of Quantum Communications, which represents Butchertown Grocery, said the project includes renovating the kitchen and redoing the floors. She also said Benjamin is adding “cool shelving” to display his antique bourbon collection.

Urban Bricks is the latest build-your-own pizza chain to enter the Houston market.
The San Antonio-based company opened a location at 12161 Westheimer Road, near Phoenicia Specialty Foods, on Dec. 21, according to a press release. The fast-casual restaurant offers dine-in, take-out and drive-thru options.
