Flipt, a contemporary burger-and-shake restaurant, is making its debut at Rivers Casino at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Some of the menu's highlights include a Breakfast Burger, with cherrywood smoked bacon, an over-easy egg and aged cheddar; the Impossible Burger, a plant-based veggie burger; and the Flipt Burger Wrap, which is a traditional burger, but without the bun.

Other menu items include hand-cut fries, wraps, chicken fingers, onion rings, nachos and milkshakes.

Campbell Soup Co.'s largest shareholders, the Dorrance family, have made an announcement that could potentially tip the scales in Campbell's favor in an ongoing proxy battle.

Bennett Dorrance, Mary Alice Dorrance Malone, Archbold van Beuren and Charlotte C. Webber — descendants of Campbell condensed soup inventor John T. Dorrance — separately notified Board Chair Les C. Vinney they intend to vote for the incumbent board of directors at the company's Nov. 29 annual meeting of stockholders.

A Wichita-based Mediterranean restaurant chain has its sights on Kansas City, and its owner is close to signing a lease in the Crossroads Arts District, The Wichita Eagle reports.

Alex Harb launched Meddys in 2014, which will open its third Wichita location in November. He plans to open 10 Meddys restaurants in the greater Kansas City area and expects to finalize the Crossroads lease by year's end. The restaurant would open in June or July.
