Merriman’s starts hiring for Kakaako restaurant ahead of summer opening
Peter Merriman’s newest eponymous restaurant in Kakaako has started hiring ahead of its June opening.
Merriman’s, which will be the anchor tenant of Howard Hughes’ Anaha condominium tower, is looking to hire 130 employees, including hosts, servers, food runners, bartenders, prep cooks, bakers and dishwashers.
The restaurant is being led by Executive Chef Jon Matsubara and General Manager Brandi Romain.

Hawaii’s 10th Wendy’s restaurant will open next year in Kailua, on a site leased from Alexander & Baldwin that was once a Tesoro gas station.
Cotti Foods Inc., the franchisee for Wendy’s (Nasdaq: WEN) and Pieology in Hawaii, recently inked a deal for the half-acre parcel at 1143 Kailua Road, next door to Koolau Farmers garden center and across from the YMCA of Honolulu’s Windward Branch.
