Intrigued? You'll be able to decide for yourself when the locally owned business opens in the former Coffee Garden space on April 12. Hop Gardens will offer 24 taps, most of which will be beer,…

At 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, Mid-South farmer Mike Sullivan received unwelcome news: China had just announced it was planning on putting a 25 percent tariff on American soybeans — a crop Sullivan just started planting on 13,000 acres of his Arkansas farm.

“It's been nerve-wracking, to put it mildly,” Sullivan said. “We absolutely cannot lose China as a buyer.”

China buys more American soy than any other nation and purchases about 30 percent of soybeans grown in Arkansas, where most Mid-South…

Cracker Barrel, the Lebanon, Tennessee-based restaurant chain, has always been about good ol’ boy, down-home hospitality and unpretentious Southern cooking.

So Cracker Barrel turned to the Epsilon ad agency in Chicago to develop new advertising specifically aimed at millennials and Gen X’ers and tied to the introduction of a new…

He then scraped the ice cream into a large flat square and smoothed it from side to side and top to bottom. With chocolate syrup, he added decorative touches – a scene with flowers, a snail and a butterfly. Then he rolled the ice cream into small sections and transferred it to a cup…
