A national hospitality vendor has opened a new restaurant at BHM.

The Minnesota State Fair on Thursday announced this year’s Best Award winners. While many of the winning vendors are often strictly State Fair vendors, this year local companies are having the spotlight.

Barrel & Bones is a new barbecue restaurant located in Preston Hollow in Dallas. It offers dishes such as smoked brisket, turkey and sausages, along with soup and salad and brunch.

According to franchisee Scott Malone, it was Chick-fil-A that led the charge for the renovations.

Jersey Mike’s Subs, which hasn’t had a downtown Cincinnati location in years, plans to open in the Dixie Terminal Building at 53 E. Fourth St. on Sept. 6.
