When the pandemic halted construction of a Hyatt Place in downtown Albany, and lenders and investors were reluctant to put up money for new hotels, the developer turned to another financing source to get the development rolling again.

The city is looking to add more restaurant, retail and entertainment uses to its historic downtown area.

“The Lost Draft aims to provide an atmosphere of creativity for free thinkers,” The Lost Draft team said.

Gastonia City Council last week approved incentives for a proposed 188,604-square-foot speculative industrial building on Jenkins Dairy Road. This week, the Gaston County Board of Commissioners is scheduled to consider incentives of its own for the planned project.

The apartment complex, which includes ground-floor retail, will replace the longtime Skyway Marina Mall.

Strategic Real Estate Partners and Link Logistics have partnered on industrial projects in Iredell County and in Charlotte.

The proposed $50 million FPC Live/ Milwaukee Bucks live-entertainment facility in downtown Milwaukee’s Deer District announced the construction manager for the project would be Miron Construction Co. in partnership with JCP Construction.
