A major land deal has gone through in Holly Springs as part of a larger partnership focused on life sciences.

State and local officials gathered with Eli Lilly and Co. executives to break ground on the pharmaceutical giant's $1 billion Concord campus. Eli Lilly announced in January its intention to bring the investment and the creation of nearly 600 jobs to The Grounds at Concord, the former Philip Morris site.

Under a new proposal, buildings on land leased by the city of Boston's planning and development agency would be expected to be carbon neutral by 2040. That would include a growing cluster of lab buildings in the Seaport District.

A new report from Boston University researchers for the Massachusetts Coalition for Racial Equity in Housing finds the current housing policy process is hurting diverse communities and that the inequities can be traced directly to the voices showing up to public meetings.

Of the 21 municipalities tracked by the Home Builders Association of Central Arizona, 13 of them issued fewer single-family homebuilder permits so far this year through April compared to the same period last year.
