After a more-than-three-year renovation of two downtown buildings, the Woodlark hotel will open its doors this weekend.

Located in the old Cornelius Hotel and Woodlark buildings at 813 S.W. Alder St., the Woodlark adds 150 hotel rooms and a new restaurant and bar to downtown. The project comes from Portland's Provenance Hotels and NBP Capital.

Another 9,200 homes could be joining the metro region in the coming years thanks to a vote by the Metro Council yesterday.

The unanimous vote approved four metro-area cities' plans to expand the urban growth boundary by nearly 2,200 acres.

The four cities that submitted concepts for growth were King City, Beaverton, Hillsboro and Wilsonville. Hillsboro's plan will add 150 acres, 75 of which are buildable, and up to 850 homes. Beaverton's is much larger, with 600 buildable acres and more than…

The property sits 115 feet above the Brazos River, which runs along nearly a mile of the ranch, so Cool Acres' houses have never flooded, per the listing. About 10 percent of the property is…

The fifth-largest sale of the week was a home located on Natchez Street in Collierville's ZIP 38107 — a 30-minute drive from MBJ's East Memphis offices. Built in 1913, the estate holds four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms in 3,900 square feet. It sold for about $750,000.

Also a 30-minute drive from the MBJ, the No. 4 home this week is located on Reid Hooker Road in Eads. Built in 2006,…

After 92 public hearings, 10 years of planning and $10 million in planning and lawsuit expenses, the developer behind one of San Leandro’s largest proposed housing projects is ready to move forward.

The job market for the city's energy industry is expected to continue its recovery from the 2015 oil downturn.

Poverty, shrinking population and the demand for skilled workers are among the biggest challenges that could jeopardize economic growth in the coming years.

Shane Pierre, dealer principal and owner of Pierre Auto Centers, and his wife Kara Pierre have just listed their Lake Forest Park waterfront manse for $6.59 million.

Built in 2015, the more than 8,100-square-foot home was the dream home they always wanted – Kara planning out every inch of space, essentially designing it herself – after bulldozing down the existing home on the property with its magenta toilets and mirrored walls.

“We wanted to have functional spaces for our young family…

Plans submitted to the city for an 18-story, 800-bed co-living development in San Jose near where Google is aiming to build a massive new tech campus shed light on StarCity's first South Bay development. The venture-backed startup has developed a brand in the Bay Area for making “dorm living for adults.”
