GE’s CEO change raises questions about a smaller Boston HQ
Since Larry Culp took over as GE's CEO, GE has declined to say whether its Boston headquarters plans might change. If Culp’s priorities at his last job are any indication of what’s coming at GE — Culp's former company maintained a small, humble headquarters in a Washington, D.C., office building — then a 390,000-square-foot headquarters may not be high on his list. In fact, some analysts predict Culp and GE's new leadership will scale down the campus from Immelt's original vision.
