HomeGoods to open a second Hawaii store in old Kmart space
HomeGoods has apparently found a site for its second discount home fashion store in Hawaii, a former Kmart location on Oahu.
The retail chain, which is owned by T.J. Maxx parent TJX Cos. Inc. (NYSE: TJX), is listed on a $3.5 million building permit for the former Kmart site in the Waikele Center shopping plaza in Waipahu.
The building that housed Kmart at the center, which is anchored by Lowe’s, Old Navy a Gap Factory Store and UFC Gym, is in the process of being torn down.
