A giant mural of Cincinnati chili is just the beginning of the features that hail the Queen City in HGTV’s Urban Oasis home in Oakley.

When you see the home at 2810 Hyde Park Ave., the first thing you notice are the red doors manufactured by Mason-based Clopay. Designer Brian Patrick Flynn said those were inspired completely by his first impressions of Cincinnati and its love for hometown sports teams, including the Cincinnati Reds.

Hanca LLC, managed by Julio C. Capo, sold PH-1 and PH-2 in the condo at 5025 Collins Ave. to Perpetual Love 5025 LLC. Since the buyer is a Delaware-registered company, it’s not clear who owns it.

The combined penthouse totals 7,980 square feet, with 10 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and three half-bathrooms. The price equates to $1,484 a square foot.

Developers and dignitaries gathered in the lobby of the Circa Building at 1615 Platte St. on Thursday to celebrate the opening of the 96,000-square-foot commercial space.

Those features helped Circa attract its marquee and so far only operational tenant: the Americas headquarters for cloud accounting software company..

Work on the long-stalled Mission Gateway project has started, but developer Tom Valenti of Cameron Group LLC wants to delay when a community improvement district will start collecting sales tax.

Valenti doesn’t anticipate construction to be completed until January, so he wants the CID to start collecting an extra 1 percent sales tax — which offsets construction costs — July 1, 2020 to track with “the beginning of retail activity,” the Shawnee Mission Post reports. When the CID was approved…
