C.S. Beatty Construction has sold its former headquarters.

A new state rule is changing communication requirements for real estate agents. Earlier this summer, the Texas Administrative Code, which codifies state agency rules in Texas, including Dallas-Fort Worth, adopted a new rule requiring that brokers or sales agents respond within two calendar days.

“Project Everest” has been underway since June 28 in North Richland Hills in Dallas-Fort Worth, according to a filing. Merlin Entertainment, which is a family-focused, location-based entertainment company behind attractions such as Legoland and Madame Tussauds, is developing the Peppa Pig Theme Park.

It’s testament to both the size of the development and current real estate lending environment that Mandel Group Inc. needed loans from three banks to launch construction of 237 apartments at the former School Sisters of Notre Dame campus in Elm Grove.

Phoenix's foreign trade zone moved into the top 5 for imports handled through its warehouse and distribution network in the U.S. in 2022. As major semiconductor companies and suppliers are added to the zone, these numbers are only expected to increase, experts say.

The property was remote when former TW Telecom president and CEO John Blount bought 132 acres near Castle Rock for $3.3 million in 2007.

Blount, who calls the property the B5 Ranch, listed it for $8.5 million in June, hoping a new owner would keep it as a ranch and consider it a legacy property.

“They feel like it’s an oasis in the middle of a bustling community,” said listing agent Elaine Stucy with LIV Sotheby’s International Realty.

The ranch went under contract in days and closed on Aug. 31 for $7.8 million, a record for Castle Rock.
