Cerner extends footprint in Alabama


North Kansas City-based health care company Cerner is expanding its reach into Alabama with a new collaboration with the Escambia County Healthcare Authority (ECHA).

The ECHA’s two hospitals, D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital in Brewton and the Atmore Community hospital in Atmore, and their four combined clinics, will switch to the cloud-based Cerner Millennium electronic health record (EHR) platform across all venues of care.
