Chick-fil-A adds first permanent side menu dish since 2016

Chick-fil-A is making a permanent addition to its side menu for the first time in three years.

The Atlanta-based chicken chain on Aug. 12 said it added mac & cheese nationwide starting today, following a successful test in five markets: Baltimore, Phoenix, Houston (and participating San Antonio restaurants), Greensboro, N.C., and Nashville.

Chick-fil-A describes the side as "a classic macaroni and cheese recipe, featuring a special blend of cheeses including cheddar, parmesan and Romano."
