National Restaurant News listed Chick-fil-A as the country's third-largest restaurant chain, behind only Starbucks Corp. (Nasdaq: SBUX) and McDonald’s Corp. (NYSE: MCD).
Chick-fil-A moved up four spots in NRN's 2019 Top 200: U.S. Chain Systemwide Sales. The Atlanta-based fast food company saw $10.46 billion in total sales for 2018, up from $8.97 billion in 2017. The Washington Post reports that the chain's ascent is notable in part because most other restaurant traffic stayed flat.
