Paul McCartney is one of the world’s most successful pop music composers. Post-Beatles, he’s had success as a classical composer, too. McCartney’s “Liverpool Oratorio,” which premiered in 1991 for the 150th anniversary of the Royal Liverpool Society, hit the top of the classical charts. Now McCartney’s “Liverpool Oratorio” will be an opera. And Cincinnati Opera will present it in the upcoming 2024 Summer Festival.
