City of Birmingham to revive board for restaurant contract review


A Birmingham city board will have to be resurrected in order to approve a new restaurant for Parkside.

The mayor and city council is looking to appoint new members to the Public Athletic, Cultural and Entertainment (PACE) Facilities Board to review a contract for Michael's Steak and Seafood to open a location in the Negro Southern League Museum, according to AL.com.

The board, which oversaw the museum and Regions Field, went dormant after the terms of the five board members expired last year.
