Coca-Cola: ‘Closely watching’ non-psychoactive CBD growth, but ‘no interest in marijuana or cannabis’


The Coca-Cola Co. (NYSE: KO) is weighing a jump into the world of cannabis drinks, but says it's not interesting in getting its customers high.

The Atlanta-based beverage giant is in talks with Canadian marijuana producer Aurora Cannabis Inc. to develop CBD-infused drinks, according to a report from BNN Bloomberg Television.

The news outlet said that the company is monitoring the industry and is interested in CBD, or cannabidiol — a non-psychoactive ingredient found primarily in extractions…
