Crowne Plaza puts finishing touches on ‘transformational’ renovation


Kansas City’s Crowne Plaza location has undergone a substantial interior renovation during the winter that the ownership group says will bring the hotel up to the standards of modern guests.

Renovations for the 28-story, 385-room hotel at 1301 Wyandotte St. began in November and are wrapping up in mid-May, said Theresa Benson, communications manager for The Hotel Group, which owns the Kansas City Crowne Plaza property. The Hotel Group declined to disclose the cost.
