D.C. restaurants prep for Stanley Cup crowds


Jennifer Firpo has worked for Yard House for nearly a decade, so she knows how to handle a busy beer bar. But nothing could have prepared the general manager of the chain’s new Chinatown spot for the boon that comes with Washington Capitals playoff hockey — and she knows it’s about to get bigger.

Yard House’s bar, which is just one block down from the Capital One Arena at Seventh and Eye streets NW, has been standing-room-only for most playoff games, especially games 6 and 7 this week…
