A few years ago, when relaxed Federal Aviation Administration rules unlocked hundreds of acres of land around Dayton International Airport for redevelopment, Dayton leaders saw a chance for something big.
Such a project could effectively create a shovel-ready business park next to one of the most central highway interchanges in the nation — Interstates 70 and 75 — at a time when distributors, e-commerce and growing manufactures were all looking for ideal places to locate new operations.
