Deschutes to delay construction on its Virginia brewery


Oregon's second-largest brewery will delay the planned start of work on a Virginia location.

The Roanoke Times reported that Deschutes Brewery won't go forward with a June 2019 construction start on its East Coast efforts. The paper noted that Deschutes President Michael Lalonde had cited a slowing of craft beer industry growth earlier this year when the company chose to "re-evaluate the scale and timing of its expansion."
