DIA gives go-ahead to sell potential JEA HQ land


A 1.5-acre city-owned parcel slated to become the future site of JEA's headquarters is officially for sale.

The Downtown Investment Authority on Friday voted to issue a 30-day solicitation for bids on the property, which has been appraised at $2.3 million.

The Ryan Cos. bid $2.6 million on the parcel, where it plans to build JEA's new headquarters. Over the next month, other entities are welcome to submit bids and proposals for the property.
