EEOC sues Raytown nursing home for wage discrimination


The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed a lawsuit Thursday accusing a Raytown nursing home of paying a female nurse less than two male nurses performing the same job.

The federal agency alleges that Edgewood Manor Center for Rehab and Healthcare paid Maisha Hill, a licensed practical nurse, $21 an hour, but two male LPN's earned $25 an hour doing the same work.
