Encompass Health to pay $48 million to resolve allegations


Encompass Health has agreed to pay $48 million to resolve allegations that some of its inpatient rehabilitation facilities provided inaccurate information to Medicare in order to maintain their status and to earn a higher rate of reimbursement, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
