Estée Lauder nears deal to buy Tom Ford


The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. is on the verge of sealing a nearly $2.8 billion deal to buy Tom Ford, the American luxury brand founded by the former Gucci creative director nearly two decades ago, The Wall Street Journal reported.

New York City-based Estée Lauder (NYSE: EL) has partnered with Tom Ford on a premium beauty brand since 2005 and is expected to make licensing deals for Ford’s fashion and eyewear lines after the deal is completed, per WSJ.
