Everything but the House sets new auction record


Everything but the House completed its highest-priced sale ever last week, and it came as a surprise on several fronts.

The Joef Albers oil painting “Study for a Homage to the Square” garnered 155 bids and sold for $161,999 on Oct. 17.

The painting was owned by Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and was found by an EBTH cataloger as the company’s team sorted through a donation that had been given by the family of Cincinnati artist Paul Chidlaw.
