PekoPeko Ramen near Johns Hopkins gets city OK to serve sake, beer


PekoPeko Ramen customers will soon be able to order sake and other alcoholic drinks with their meals.

The eatery at 7 E. 33rd St. in Charles Village was granted a liquor license last week. Owner David Forster said a new drinks menu is still in the works, but will include sake, Japanese beer and wine options. Cocktail offerings are also a possibility.

"We're a Japanese restaurant with no Japanese sake or beer offerings, so I think it's a value-add experience for our guests," he said.
