Exec: United Community Banks is ‘six months to a year’ ahead in Triangle numbers


Nine months after entering the Triangle through its acquisition of Johnston County’s Four Oaks Fincorp, Georgia’s United Community Banks is “six months to a year” ahead of its own projections for the market.

That’s according to Jim Rose, regional president for the bank in Raleigh, speaking both of Four Oaks’ legacy markets and of Raleigh, “which is really a new market for us.”

While he declined to give specifics, he says the entire region is annualizing to double-digit loan growth.
