Beginning this year, Tennessee is now officially part of the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact, adding The Volunteer State to the list of 23 other states that have adopted it.
The adoption of the Compact is expected to expand the practice of telemedicine by physicians both in Tennessee and around the country by making it easier for physicians licensed in other states to treat Tennessee patients and for Tennessee physicians to become licensed in other states.
