Financing mechanism could spark huge Colony Park development


Pieces are falling into place for the long-planned expansion of the Colony Park neighborhood in Northeast Austin. Creation of a tax increment reinvestment zone would be a major step toward turning the 208 acres of city-owned land into a mixed-use hub with housing, commercial space and parks.
