"On a personal finance level, it will help residents with their banking needs; they'll have something that's close," Stacy Clay, First Bank's Midwest retail lead and director of community affairs, said of the new branch in an interview. "But also at a higher community development level, having a financial anchor in the area positions us to partner with developers and other folks who may be interested in doing redevelopment in that area."
