Restaurants around the Milwaukee area continue to draw crowds of hungry and happy diners looking for a high-quality experience and delectable cuisine.

But the restaurant business is not a slam dunk to success and it takes a lot of hard work, as witnessed by a few high-profile closings in recent times, including the April closing of c.1880 after six years in Walker's Point and the loss of Karl Ratzsch's, a longtime fixture of downtown Milwaukee's dining culture, in 2017.
