Food: Miller Lite honors female brewers


Miller Lite is launching a limited edition of its beer using the name of one of the country's first female brewers.

The cans, to be released during the Fourth of July weekend, will bear the name of Mary Lisle, who ran a Philadelphia brewery in 1734.

Miler will donate $5 from any case purchased online through Drizly or Instacart to the Pink Boots Society, which encourages women in the beer industry. Purchases must be made between June 27 and July 4.
