Former Broward CEO convicted of scamming seniors out of $2M


A Broward County man was convicted of mail and wire fraud charges on Monday in connection with a $2 million scheme that scammed at least a dozen senior citizens out of their retirement savings.

Thomas Michael White, a resident of Parkland, was the president and CEO of First Call Ventures, LLC, the parent company of another firm, First Call Movers & Transport of Florida, that brokered customer moves for other moving companies, according to court documents.
