Former heir apparent of San Francisco bank takes helm of NYC real estate firm


After her sudden departure at the beginning of 2022, the former heir apparent of a publicly traded San Francisco bank has a new position as the CEO of a New York-based real estate firm.

Greystone, a national real estate finance company, announced Monday that it has appointed Hafize Gaye Erkan as CEO, with her executive responsibilities beginning in September. She will report to Steve Rosenberg, who will continue to serve as the executive chairman of the board.
