Former mayoral candidate Tito Jackson to become CEO of marijuana dispensary


Former mayoral candidate and former Boston city councilor Tito Jackson has been named CEO of Verdant Medical Inc., a medical marijuana company out of Randolph.

Jackson announced in a release on Thursday that he saw the opportunity as a way to create jobs and bring change to his city. He added that he hoped to provide jobs with a $15 minimum wage, and would hire, train and employ workers who were formally victims of the criminal justice system.
