Former title company executive gets prison for Kobra Properties fraud


The former title company executive who helped inflate property values for Kobra Properties a decade ago was sentenced Friday to more than four years in prison.

Mary Sue Weaver, 65, was sentenced by a federal court in Sacramento to four years and two months in prison and ordered to pay nearly $15.4 million in restitution for her part in a $22 million fraud scheme, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California.
