Gaylon Lawrence Jr. announces plans to merge Fourth Capital and Volunteer State Banks


The banks' owner Gaylon Lawrence Jr. said the merger is still in the exploratory stages, but he is confident regulators will approve it. The goal, he said, is to make both banks competitive in Nashville's growing market — and attract top talent.
