Groundbreaking fetal treatment led by UCSF could change course of genetic diseases


The treatment was a race against time and Covid-19. The family lives in Canada and quarantining between every-other-week treatments at UCSF would be near impossible; so the UCSF and Canadian teams worked together to deliver an already-approved drug to the fetus through the mother's womb.
