Hawaii gets its first Taiwanese fried chicken spot at Ala Moana


Hawaii just got its first Taiwanese fried chicken spot.

ChiChop, also known as Cheers Cut, opened today at Ala Moana Food Court. The chicken chain has over a hundred international locations, including nine on the U.S. East Cost, and the new Hawaii location is the franchise’s first in the U.S. west of the Mississippi.

ChiChop’s most popular dish is their 12-ounce Samurai Crispy Chicken XXL ($10.99), which is served in a large envelope with a distinctive sword printed on the back.
