Private equity giant TPG lowering fee discount for early investors


More private equity managers have been raising their fees in recent years as investors have flocked away from other more volatile and potentially overheated parts of the financial market for a place in their funds. The average fees charged by buyout funds have climbed to nearly 2 percent of what an investor puts in, up from 1.85 percent three years ago, according to industry tracker Preqin.
