More than 65 Starbucks stores in Hawaii closed early on Tuesday as part of a company-wide anti-bias training, which will take place at more than 8,000 company-owned U.S. locations.
Licensed locations, located at grocery stores or airports, remained open.
Starbucks' decision to hold the training for 175,000 of its employees comes after two black men were arrested after waiting to meet a friend at one of its Philadelphia locations last month.
