Hawaii Supreme Court invalidates constitutional amendment ballot question on property tax


The Hawaii Supreme Court on Friday issued an order invalidating a proposed constitutional amendment to allow the Legislature to create a surcharge on investment property and said that any votes on the Nov. 6 ballot won’t be counted and will have no impact.
