It’s a cornerstone of the American experiment: we all deserve an equal opportunity to thrive and to be happy and healthy. Our Constitution declared our rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness to be self-evident. Nowhere do these rights apply more meaningfully than to health care, where, unfortunately, that goal remains a work in progress. What’s more, health care inequity is holding back our economy.
