HealthSouth redevelopment plan appears on brink of collapse as city ends negotiations


The long-gestating project had contemplated building 921 apartments across two towers downtown, with 25% of the units set to be leased at affordable rates and remain as such for 99 years. But with market conditions changing, the project now appears to be on the rocks.
