Here’s why In-N-Out passed on Houston for years


In-N-Out Burger, an Irvine, California-based burger chain, has been eyeing the Houston market for years.

The company, which is planning to open three Houston-area restaurants in the near future, was initially deterred from Houston because the city isn't connected to Interstate 35, a national highway that runs through Texas and connects Dallas, Austin and San Antonio, NAI Partners' Jason Gaines said at a press breakfast on Nov. 7.
