High-Hand opens Loomis brewery inspired by pandemic closures of nursery, cafe


Early in the Covid-19 pandemic, Scott Paris saw both High-Hand Nursery and High-Hand Cafe in Loomis closed by shutdown orders. If he just owned a brewery, he recalled telling business partner Christopher Murphy, he could've switched gears to making hand sanitizer and kept some business going, as others were at the time.
