Hines to develop 850-acre master-planned community Brookewater in Rosenberg

Brookewater will be Hines’ largest residential community since the 9,700-acre First Colony in Sugar Land, which it started developing in 1976. During the economic recession in the 1980s, Hines abandoned single-family residential development in favor of focusing on commercial development in Houston, but it returned to single-family development in recent years.
