Honolulu’s grocery bill 3rd highest among 22 cities


The average Honolulu resident spends over $10,000 on food each year, according to a new study from SmartAsset.com, using U.S. Bureau of Labor data.

In the study, researchers from SmartAsset, a financial technology company, ranked 22 United States cities on two factors; the average amount of money a person spends on food in a year, and the average percentage of one's income the a person spends on food.
